Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok is a ride and a vibe--or whatever these new Midgardians call things. It was a great time trying the early access on Steam, and I'll tell you about it. Go Heroes is a coming soon, turn-based RPG based on the stories of Greek Mythology. Each level is filled with puzzles that not only advance your progress in the game but progress the story. It is not quite isometric but rather described as four-directional--it is sort of like using a board game with camera controls. You play as Prometheus, the Greek titan, who dared give the gift of fire to mankind. I am fortunate enough to have a very early press copy of this game in collaboration with Indie Game Collective and Happyland Games. So, let's take a look.

Hades, the countless award-winning indie rogue-lite from the makers of games like Bastion, has been released onto Nintendo Switch this last week. The game is a procedurally generated beat-'em-up in the underworld realm of Hades itself. Play as Tartarus, prince god of Hades, in a simply brilliant gameplay idea involving fighting through chambers of monsters in an attempt to escape the realm of Hades itself with the help of gods and goddesses of realms below and above.

The Last Campfire is THE Game For Heart & Imagination

I hesitated the first time I played this. I was up late at night and wanted to try something relaxing and I chose The Last Campfire on the Switch. Visually nice, interesting, but I was a little startled by the minuscule, but there, elements of macabre. Okay, it was just a single skeleton, but that’s enough to not be my usual thing! I set it aside and haven’t thought about it in a while. I’m happy to inform you that this game is actually quite good. It needs to be reconsidered by skeptics, even you if you are one. It’s a sweet and empathic story. Things can change before you would expect them to and it deserves a lot of merit for that.

Knights and Bikes is the Best Game About Adventure & Imagination

I knew when I read the description of Knights and Bikes on the Nintendo eShop page, and the bounty of awards adorning it, that this was probably going to be pretty cool. It explores some great themes like imagination, curiosity, and adventure. Also, it’s about finding those adventures in a place you don’t need to journey far to find.
